About Us

Most of my adult life (in between having children) I’ve spent working for other companies. The last 13 years, I was working 7 days a week, sometimes 10–12-hour days. I consumed all my time and devotion building someone else’s dreams.

I started an apparel printing company in 2017, first with some smaller projects, then worked my way up to larger brands, but always pushed it to the side when I needed to focus on my main career.

In early 2023, life took a turn, and I was fortunate enough to separate from my career-focused lifestyle and spend more time raising our children. I also was able to refocus on building my own company and my own dream, redspade.

With the kids getting older, I was always looking for ways to get them involved. They’d help occasionally, pitching in here or there with screen printing or other side ventures, but never really had an interest. I wanted my kids to be entrepreneurs and learn to create and achieve their own dreams. I wanted to find a way to get them more involved, especially Madison, to create her own brand and build it from the ground up. She had a few ideas, but none that ever stuck, and nothing that she was passionate about.

In late Summer 2023, our lives changed. We suddenly lost someone very close to us. Someone that made an enormous impact on everyone who knew her. Someone that left our lives here on earth, but also left us with a great mission to carry on. Our Aunt Trude was an angel walking among us, she loved the Lord in every way, and loved each one of us. 

The Meaning Behind Our Name

Madison and I sat down one night and started talking about creating an apparel brand. We wanted to find a way to incorporate scripture into our brand, create designs that were meaningful to us and would be meaningful to others. We discussed a couple scriptures and Madison started sketching designs.

Over the next couple days, we started discussing the name of our clothing brand. We came up with a few ideas, but none that truly spoke to what we were trying to do. When I thought back to our Aunt Trude and the mission she’d left for us, the only name that was a true match was Glory. Aunt Trude made it a point to thank our Lord for every single thing that took place, and her way of doing so was by emphatically shouting “Glory!” 

Our first design, Proverbs 16:24 (Honey Design), is a scripture that reminds us of her. She had a special way of always thinking and speaking positively and always encouraging others around her. 

Our name, Glory Clothing, will be a daily reminder of carrying on her legacy and continuing to spread her love and her love of the Lord.
